Support Worker - Day Service

THE ROLE
We are looking for a professional, dedicated Support Worker to deliver high quality care to the people we support in our small and friendly Day Service in Merston, Chichester.
There is an element of driving in this role. The successful candidate would be required to drive our mini bus to transport our service users to and from the Day Service and also take them into the community throughout the day.
The Day Centre is open Monday to Friday throughout the year. We do not operate on weekends or bank holidays. This position is permanent and full time (40 hours a week). The Day Centre operates a weekly rota with start times no earlier than 7.30am and finish times no later than 5.30pm.
*Please note that due to the nature of the role, we can only accept applications from people with a full UK driving licence.
This is permanent full-time role of 40 hours per week with NO weekends or Bank Holidays required.
Salary: £11.54 - 12.54 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Within our day service we support a diverse group of learning disabled adults with complex needs and varying levels of challenging behaviour. We provide person centred support focusing on what is really important to the service users; helping them manage behaviours, and increase life skills whilst supporting them in all aspects of daily living, personal care and resourcing activities to increase independence and capabilities enabling them to live as fuller life as possible.We encourage and support our service users to access the community at least once a day whether it is simply for a walk, to shop, or visit a place of interest to them.
Responsibilities also include report writing and care planning.
